The Rapid Response
TM Forensic Blood Test is a rapid test to qualitatively detect low levels of human hemoglobin in forensic samples. The test uses a double antibody sandwich assay to selectively detect human blood at 50 ng/mL or higher.
It is intended for forensic technicians who have found blood stains on a crime scene and need to quickly check the human origin of the blood before sending to a lab for thorough analysis. The use of chromatographic immunoassays to detect human hemoglobin in forensic blood samples has been cited in literature.
