The Rapid ResponseTM Alcohol Breath Detector with Blow Bag is a semi-quantitative, rapid screening test for the detection of alcohol in human breath, to aid in the diagnosis of alcohol intoxication. It is intended for in vitro diagnostic use only. Each detector contains crystals that detect a specific cut-off level of blood alcohol concentration(BAC) based on a chemical reaction between the crystals and alcohol. Test results are indicated in relative BAC and interpretations are: positive (majority of crystals are blue-green) and negative (majority of crystals are yellow).
